A couple of book cover designs I’ve long planned on putting together.
Category: Illustrations
Fresh snow in the city park
Drawing for a story. Pen and ink, digital. 2016
Frozen
I discovered “The Devil skating when Hell freezes over” painting by John Collier shortly after drawing this little illustration.
Planets in the library
Three illustrations from the long-term personal project These Planets Belong In A Library.
Apple core
This little illustration was inspired by a real-life lighthouse located on the southern shores of Nova Scotia, Canada. Have a look.
The current lighthouse, perched on the rocks of Cape Forchu and actually dubbed “Apple Core”, replaced the original tower in 1962, and was given its non-orthodox shape to withstand strong winds that are common in the region.
A Man Once Left the House
Two illustrations after poems by Russian children’s writer Daniil Kharms.
Svan Night
A Svaneti-themed illustrations to a story in progress. One thing that I find so fascinating about places like Svaneti, is that they always look and feel like straight out of Grimms’ fairy tales.
